The Tribunal consists of one person, who is appointed by the Chairman of the Judicial and Legal Services Commission, after consultation with the Commission. The person has to be qualified to be appointed a judge of the Supreme Court of Fiji or be a person with extensive experience in economics or industrial relations.

Other Officers in the Tribunal Office are:

• An Accountant
• An Industrial Commissioner
• Registrar of the Tribunal

The Accountant is appointed by the Minister, after consultation with the Standing Select Committee of the House of Representatives on Sugar. The person appointed has to be a Chartered Accountant in practice in Fiji, under the authority of a certificate of public practice issued under the Fiji Institute of Accountants Act.

The Industrial Commissioner is appointed by the Chairman of the Judicial and Legal Services Commission, after consultation with the Commission. The Registrar is appointed by the Tribunal and at present the Tribunal has a small administrative support staff.
