Head Office is the registered office of The Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited.

Head Office is located in the heart of the Sugar City (Lautoka), on the third floor of the Colonial House. The first Head Office was located in Suva, the main reason for being in Suva was because the government ministries/departments and other institutions that the Corporation dealt/interacted with were based in Suva. With the advance in communication technology, in terms of fax and email and also much improved road conditions, it was felt that it was not necessary to be where the central government was located. It was also a financial decision.

Head Office basically provides leadership and direction:

• On matters that affect the Corporation at national level. HO liaises/negotiates makes submission etc to the Ministers/PSC/Department Directors/Statutory bodies etc.
• On financial matters - meets with bankers, lending institutions, auditors etc.


• On marketing of Sugar - meets/negotiates and assists government on sugar agreements


• On staff matters - Administers


• On its shareholders - maintains shareholding register etc.
